About

Lake County Door Company

Lake County Door Company, originally named Overhead Door Company was founded June 1, 1957 as a one man operation in the business of sales, service and installation of residential and commercial overhead doors. The business was located at a small location in Painesville. As business grew, part-time employees were added to ensure the highest level of service.

By the 1960’s the business had grown to employ 6 people and required an expanded office location at our current address of 2001 North Ridge Rd. The 70’s brought even more demand for high quality products installed by the area’s best professionals, thousands of customers were switching to the convenience of an motorized overhead door as it became the industry standard.

Throughout the next two decades development of Northeastern Ohio continued at a rapid pace providing us with an ever expanding customer base. It was also during this time that we changed the name of the company to Lake County Door to better reflect the community that we service.

Our commitment to the highest quality service continues to this day. We now service all of Lake County as well as much of the surrounding counties as well as the installation of new overhead doors for both residential and commercial customers.

Community Involvement

At Lake County Door, we feel that it is important to give back to the community in which we live and work. Below are just a few of the many community groups that we support:

Doc’s Deepwood Run

Doc’s Deepwood Run is a local motorcycle run that was started in 1998 to support the Deepwood center in Mentor. Deepwood Center provides schooling, training, shelter and support to the mentally handicapped and developmentally disabled of Lake County.

This year’s Doc’s Deepwood Run will take place on September 26th. If you’d like to participate or find out more information about the run, visit their website at Doc’s Deepwood Run.
